I'm extremely proud to announce that TurnShip: Skies of Ourl had it's first functional demonstration as part of my final performance for university. Propellor (Pete) and Battery (Ben) played each other in multiplayer, over a network, with a score of 1 each over two games. After the eprformance on teh 3rd, I went to Paris for a week on the 4th with ~arinasakizaki thanks to my mum being paid a substantial amount of compensation money (motorbway being built near my parents' house). The holiday has left me really energized to DO THINGS such as tidy our horrifically messy home and make moar games.
My job over the next week is to make the P and R site into a proper, weekly-updating blog and site.
After that I'll be working on the single player campaign of TurnShip (the meat to the multiplayer's bone) and spriting the rest of the ships (3 zoom levels x 8 ship angles x 5 more ship classes x lights layer x 2 weapon animations per ship = 480ish frames, not counting actual weapon ani frames and extra weapons). YES I will upload the ship sprites at some point, for now I point you to this that I've just uploaded in scraps.
Also during this time, Pete and Ben will be working on an entirely different game, a somewhat abstract spaceship fighty game, which I don't want to talk too much about because the idea we've got for it is pretty unique. I'll be doing much less work for this graphicswise (they want to play with vectors) but I'll still be doing music for it.
And, speaking of music, you can listen to and download some music from TurnShip here, by me. This was the main part of my performance on the 3rd.
So please, bookmark [link], check back on it once in a while; also, please tell people about it
Also bear in mind we'll be recruiting team members from time to time, since our ideas are pretty big XD
